Obama will protect the rights of hunters, shooters, collectors and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, transport, and use guns.

Obama Believes Americans Have a Constitutional Right to Bear Arms.

Obama believes that the constitution conveys an individual right to bear arms, not just a right of militias as some have argued. He respects the right of lawful gun owners to hunt, target shoot and use guns to protect their families.

Obama is Against the Confiscation of Guns.

When a vote came before the United States Senate to prohibit the confiscation of legally acquired firearms during an emergency, Obama voted YES. Senator Obama is on record voting against allowing the federal government to confiscate guns.

Obama Will Support the Rights and Traditions of Sportsmen.

Obama recognizes that American hunters are losing access to places to hunt. He will provide incentives to farmers and ranchers who voluntarily open their land to hunting, fishing and other wildlife-related activities. Obama is also fully committed to protecting wildlife habitat. He is an advocate for preserving our wetlands and supports a broad range of national conservation programs, including the North American Wetlands Conservation Act, the Land and Water Conservation Fund, and the National Fish Habitat Plan.

Still, he's a crazy liberal out to get our guns:

Fox News did their own study on the Palin effect.  The result?  The polls began to shift after the interviews and before the sharp economic "the fundamentals are fine" downturn.  Anyone left still thinking she was a good pick?  She didn't know Africa was a continent or who was in NAFTA for goodness sake.  Let's not forget, even Fox News aside, it's the right being the most critical at the moment.  

And finally, was the Obama win the end of the Daily Show?

Why? First of all, in one eventful day, the prototypical Daily Show viewer has been transformed: Once disaffected and angry at Washington's power structure, he's now delighted and hopeful about the new president and all that he symbolizes. And if you're an Obama fan — eager to give Barack the benefit of the doubt, and proud and excited about the change you've helped bring the nation — do you really want Jon Stewart sitting on the sidelines, taking potshots at your hero?

Beyond the problem of audiences souring on Obama jokes is the question of whether Jon Stewart even wants to make Obama jokes. Of course, The Daily Show has found ways to goof on the Obama campaign, but it's no secret that Stewart and his writing staff lean leftward. And The Daily Show differs from nearly all other popular political satire in that the show's strength is in its writers' outrage and anger at the powers that be.
