A friend of mine alerted me to a great article in the Dallas News by Tim Cowlishaw.  The article was written after the Miami Heat lost game one to the Dallas Mavs.  This may have been what put the Miami Heat over the top.  Cockiness like this is not viewed favorable by the basketball gods (or any of the sports gods for that matter).  My bet is that they even have a second round exit next year.  I'll link to the article below, but first some of my favorite quotes from the article:

"The Heat has no chance (have no chance? I don't know, why don't they get a real nickname?) in this series."

"Listen, when Walker is your third-best scoring option and when you've got him firing up 19 shots, nine of them from 3-point range, you are an offensively challenged team that is lucky to play its way into May, much less June."

"The Heat wants to play games in the 80s because it isn't good enough to score 90."

"How did the Heat get to the Finals?"

"The two best teams played in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs."
